Jeffrey
Stundel

Decidedly “bookish,” Jeffrey Stundel has worked as a professional writer and editor for nearly thirty years. His love of all things literary helps to explain the burgeoning bookcases throughout his house and the nearly 150 boxes of books in his basement awaiting suitable shelving.

Over the course of his career, he’s written for everything from Fortune 500s and nonprofits to newspapers and websites – all culminating in his role as publisher of and editor in chief for Words Take Flight Books.

The credit for his passion for reading and writing in the realms of science fiction, fantasy, horror, the supernatural and all points similarly related goes to his father, who introduced him, early on, to the same through comic books and movies. Despite having screaming nightmares induced by the Hammer classic The Gorgon at the age of five, and The Exorcist at the age of nine, he’s written in the horrific vein for More Monsters from Memphis and Dr. Sarcophagus and his Carnival of Dark Desires.

He finally overcame the feeling that it would be self-serving to have Words Take Flight Books publish his own work to proudly partner with Michael Gavin on Engravings.
